Free POP3 and SMTP access to Yahoo! Mail

This application that provides POP3 and SMTP access to Yahoo! Mail.

This application is more like a gateway. It provides a POP3 server interface at one end to talk to email clients and an HTTP client (browser) interface at the other which allows it to talk to Yahoo! The same concept holds good for SMTP as well.It works with all know email clients like Outlook, Thunderbird, Evolution, Eudora etc.

For a long time, Yahoo allowed POP access only for Premium accounts, so people used custom applications, like Y!Pops to have this feature.

The Unborn (2009)

The Unborn is a supernatural thriller that draws upon the legend of a dybbuk, a malevolent spirit that refuses to leave the human world and inhabits the body of a person. Protagonist Casey Beldon (Odette Yustman) is plagued by merciless dreams, visions of strange looking dogs, and an evil child with bright blue eyes. After being hit with a mirror by her neighbor's son, Casey's eyes begin to change color and she learns she had a twin brother who died in the womb. Casey begins to suspect that the spirit haunting her is the soul of her dead twin, being possessed by a dybbuk, wanting to be born so it can transfer to the world of the living. Casey meets a woman named Sofi, who is revealed to be her grandmother. Sofi explains that she had a twin brother who was killed in Nazi experiments in Auschwitz when they were both just children. The boy was brought back to life by a dybbuk who intended to use his body as a portal into the world of the living. Sofi killed her twin to stop the dybbuk, and now it haunts her family for revenge. Sofi refers Casey to Rabbi Sendak (Gary Oldman), who can perform a Jewish exorcism to remove the dybbuk. The exorcism is performed, but things go awry as the dybbuk tries to stop Rabbi Sendak from completing the ritual. The dybbuk disappears after the exorcism and the death of Casey's boyfriend. Soon afterward, Casey learns she is pregnant with twins.

Search for all account without password and lock them

Search for all account without password and lock them
For security, reason it is necessary to disable all account(s) with no password and lock them down. Solaris, Linux and FreeBSD provide account locking (unlocking) facility.

Lock Linux user account with the following command:
passwd -l {user-name}

Solaris UNIX display password status
passwd -u {user-name}-l : This option disables an account by changing the password to a value, which matches no possible encrypted value.

Lock FreeBSD user account with the following command:
pw lock {username}FreeBSD unlocking the account use:
pw unlock {username}Lock Solaris UNIX user account with the following command:
passwd -l {username}Lock HP-UX user account with the following command:
passwd -l {username}For unlocking the HP-UX account you need to edit /etc/passwd file using text editor (or use SAM):

vi /etc/passwd However, how will you find out account without password? Again, with the help of 'passwd -s' (status) command you can find out all passwordless accounts.

Linux display password status
passwd -S {user-name}Where,
-S : Display account status information. The status information consists of total seven fields. The second field indicates the status of password using following format:

•L : if the user account is locked (L)
•NP : Account has no password (NP)
•P: Account has a usable password (P)
# passwd -S radminradmin P 10/08/2005 0 99999 7 -1

Solaris UNIX display password status
passwd -s {user-name}Where,
-s : Display account status information using following format:

•PS : Account has a usable password
•LK : User account is locked
•NP : Account has no password
I have already written about small awk one line approach to find out all passwords less accounts.

Automated Scripting Solution
However, in real life you write a script and execute it from cron job. Here is small script for Linux:

#!/bin/shUSERS="$(cut -d: -f 1 /etc/passwd)"for u in $USERSdopasswd -S $u | grep -Ew "NP" >/dev/nullif [ $? -eq 0 ]; thenpasswd -l $ufidoneFreeBSD script:

#!/bin/bashUSERS="$(awk -F: 'NF > 1 && $1 !~ /^[#+-]/ && $2=="" {print $0}'/etc/master.passwd | cut -d: -f1)"for u in $USERSdopw lock $udoneSun Solaris script:

#!/bin/shUSERS=`passwd -sa | grep -w NP | awk '{ print $1 }'`for u in $USERSdopasswd -l $udone

Change your Network Card MAC Address on Ubuntu

There are a lot of reasons you might want to manually set your MAC address for your network card. I won't ask you what your reason is.

To change this setting, we'll need to edit the /etc/network/interfaces file. You can choose to use a different editor if you'd like.

gedit /etc/network/interfaces

You should see the line for your network interface, which is usually eth0. If you have dhcp enabled, it will look like this:

auto eth0
iface eth0 inet dhcp

Just add another line below it to make it look something like this:

auto eth0
iface eth0 inet dhcp
hwaddress ether 01:02:03:04:05:06

Obviously you would want to choose something else for the MAC address, but it needs to be in the same format.

/etc/init.d/networking restart

You will need to restart networking or reboot to take effect.

9600 baud rate
No parity
8 data bits
1 stop bit
No flow control
1.Type show version and record the setting of the configuration register. Click here to see output of a show version command. The configuration register setting is usually 0x2102 or 0x102.
2.Using the switch, turn off the router and then turn it on. 3.Press Break on the terminal keyboard within 60 seconds of the powerup to put the router into ROMMON. If the break sequence doesn't work, try CTRL+BREAK or use the terminal program to send the break as an ascii code.
4.Type o/r 0x2142 at the > prompt to boot from Flash without loading the configuration. 5.Type i at the > prompt. The router reboots but ignores its saved configuration.
6.Type no after each setup question or press Ctrl-C to skip the initial setup procedure. 7.Type enable at the Router> prompt. You'll be in enable mode and see the Router# prompt.

The prequel story traces the origins of the centuries-old blood feud between the aristocratic vampires and their onetime slaves, the Lycans. Lucian is joined by his secret lover, Sonja, in his battle against the Vampire army and his struggle for Lycan freedom.

A Practical Guide to Linux(R) Commands, Editors, and Shell Programming

The Most Useful Linux Tutorial and Reference Ever, with Hundreds of High-Quality Examples Covering Every Linux Distribution!

To be truly productive with Linux, you need to thoroughly master the shells and the command line. Until now, you had to buy two books to gain that mastery: a tutorial on fundamental Linux concepts and techniques, plus a separate reference. Worse, most Linux references offer little more than prettied-up man pages. Now, there’s a far better solution. Renowned Linux expert Mark Sobell has brought together comprehensive, insightful guidance on the tools system administrators, developers, and power users need most, and an outstanding day-to-day reference, both in the same book.

Beginning SQL Server 2008 for Developers: From Novice to Professional

SQL Server 2008 is a first–rate database management system. It offers more capability than any previous release of SQL Server. More than just a classic relational database management system, SQL Server 2008 includes exciting and powerful features that make it useful for everything from large corporate data warehouses to ad hoc departmental databases. You’ll find enhanced support for XML, new support for spatial data, transparent data encryption, a policy–based management system, and more.

Microsoft® SQL Server® 2008 T-SQL Fundamentals

This book walks you through your first steps in T-SQL (also known as Transact-SQL), which is Microsoft SQL Server s dialect of the standard ANSI-SQL language. You ll learn the theory behind T-SQL querying and programming, how to develop T-SQL code to query and modify data, and get an overview of programmable objects. Although this book is intended for beginners, it is not merely a step-by-step book. It goes beyond the syntactical elements of T-SQL and explains the logic behind the language and its elements.

Microsoft Improves Exchange Server for 2007 -- The Learning Curve is Big, and The Benefits Are Too

Exchange 2007 is an incredible product. You’ll really enjoy all its new features and enhancements.

But note: you can’t upgrade to it from previous Exchange versions; you must migrate. That's why the design process is so important.

This video series dramatically lowers the Exchange 2007 learning curve. Trainer Peter Bruzzese systematically takes you through all the design features of Exchange 2007, including step-by-step instruction on migration from older versions.

Peter shows you how to:
# Design solutions for your new messaging system setup.
# Design in active directory.
# Address hardware/software concerns as you get your Exchange servers up and running.
# Work through problem scenarios and learn solutions.
# Understand managed content settings and security.
# And much more.

Here's what you'll learn in each of the Exchange 2007 Design videos:

Video 1 – “Introduction”

Video 2 - “Setting the Design Stage” - This nugget explains the necessity of Design for your Exchange deployments. Five scenarios are presented for you to consider, covering all exam topics. Requirements are listed but solutions are not provided. You will find solutions at the end of the series in the final nugget.

Video 3 - “Designing AD for Exchange 2007 Deployments” - This nugget explains the necessary concerns you must keep in mind before installing your first Exchange 2007 Server. Concerns on how to work from a forest and/or domain standpoint, where to place Global Catalog servers, DNS and routing concerns, and ensuring your Active Directory is prepared for the schema changes and domain configuration changes.

Video 4 - “Evaluate and Plan Your Server Deployment” - This nugget focuses on server placement and roles. Which server should you install first in your deployments and where do these servers belong in terms of the network perimeter and the internal network.

Video 5 - “Designing Your Exchange Servers” - This nugget focuses on the hardware and software concerns for your Mailbox and Non-Mailbox Exchange Servers. Concerns about storage, memory, processor and so forth will be discussed in-depth so you can make reasonable hardware design decisions.

Video 6 - “Public Folder Design” - This nugget explains the new rationale in Exchange 2007 toward Public Folders, which have been “de-emphasized” in Exchange. We will explain what that means, and review replicas and referrals.

Video 7 - “Reviewing High Availability Options” - This nugget reviews the various solutions at your disposal for High Availability, including Local Continuous Replication (LCR), Cluster Continuous Replication (CCR) and Single Copy Clusters (SCC). We also explain the value and necessity of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with vendors and/or clients.

Video 8 - “Define a High Availability Solution” - This nugget offers you a variety of design scenarios to ponder with a focus on those concepts that repeatedly present themselves on the exam.

Video 9 - “Disaster Recovery Solutions” - This nugget reviews the basics of backups, including terminology and theory. We will also walk you through both Mailbox and Non-Mailbox solution possibilities.

Video 10 - “Designing a Disaster Recovery Solution” - This nugget presents design scenarios that may confront you on the exam, including explanation of little exam nuances and how to work around specific issues. We will also review scenarios where Disaster Recovery is combined with other solutions, like a High Availability solution.

Video 11 - “Content Settings” - This nugget reviews the design theory and practical step-by-step implementation of both Managed Default Folders and Managed Custom Folders.

Video 12 - “Journal and Transport Rules” - This nugget explains the use of journaling and transport rules. We demonstrate how to implement these types of message control and review when to use one type over another.

Video 13 - “Planning for Unified Messaging” - In this nugget we discuss the features provided through Unified Messaging. We explain the hardware concerns you will have in your design, as well as the installation and configuration process.

Video 14 - “Designing Security Part 1” - This nugget explains the use of administrative security including permissions and message flow restrictions.

Video 15 - “Designing Security Part 2” - In this nugget we focus on the Edge Transport server role with Anti-Spam and Anti-virus design concerns. We also take a look into the Microsoft-offered hosted solutions.

Video 16 - “Routing Design Decisions” - In this nugget we are going to discuss a few changes we can make within our message routing infrastructure to ensure we have smooth transfer of messages from one end of our organization to the other. The discussion will begin with an overview of default routing topologies and site costs, and then we will discuss the use of Hub sites, changing site costs and the use of distribution list servers to improve routing.

Video 17 - “Designing Accepted, Authoritative and Relay Domains” - This nugget reviews a few design terms that may present themselves on the exam and what those terms mean in relation to server placement and how messages route. We discuss authoritative domains, as well as internal and external relay domains.

Video 18 - “Design an Exchange 2003 to 2007 Strategy (Part 1)” - In this nugget we will review the terminology involved in performing upgrades from previous versions of Exchange over to 2007, including the migration approach from a non-Microsoft messaging system, or an Exchange 5.5 system.

Video 19 - “Design an Exchange 2003 to 2007 Strategy (Part 2)” - Moving forward from the previous nugget, this nugget explains the procedure for transitioning from Exchange 2000 or 2003 over to Exchange 2007. Which servers to deploy first? How to handle a period of co-existence. And finally, decommissioning your Exchange 2K or 2K3 Servers.

Video 20 - “Design Finalization” - This nugget discusses the methodology involved in organizing your design, presenting your design for approval and documenting the final decisions that are decided upon by all involved.

Video 21 - “Design Scenario Solutions” - This nugget takes us back to the 5 design scenarios we were presented with in the first nugget and the requirements called for, but this time we review solutions. No doubt by the time you’ve been through the entire series of nuggets, you won’t need me to tell you the solutions, you will already know exactly how to proceed.
